Appalling customer service

Worst experience ever with Uber eats delivery guy plus the company itself in resolving the issue!

I had requested for a delivery at the door “meet at door option” after several minutes of seeing the driver at the gate but not coming in (I had specified the unit) i decide to call him via app and he tells me the security is refusing to let him in, I then ask to speak to the security guard who had no issues letting this gentleman in but the driver wanted me to actually meet him at the gate which I refused to do.

He eventually made his way to the unit, only to discover he was at the wrong place. When he did arrive at the correct he was so upset and drove off with the food.

I escalated this to Uber eats and they tell me unfortunately the driver has done everything correctly according to their policy and won’t be making the refund. It’s only safe to conclude that the driver acted in this manner knowing very well that there won’t be any consequences for his actions. Absolutely disgusting customer service
