If 0 stars were an option, I would give Uber Eats ZERO stars.
The modus operandi of the Uber Eats **** works like this: You order food on UberEats, the driver accepts the order, and the customer is notified that UberEats is on its way to deliver the food to said customer. The client is then notified that there is a problem with the order and thus UberEats can't deliver the food. However, the Uber driver has collected the food and either eats it him/herself or sells/ gives it to someone else and the client still is charged for the order, i.e. the charge is not reversed on the credit card if paying by card or the client’s account is still debited to the value of the order if paying cash. Thus, the full value of the order is STILL debited to the credit card if you ordered UberEats using your card, or you are informed that your account has a debit to the amount of the order if paying cash, ALTHOUGH YOU NEVER RECEIVED YOUR ORDER. When you next order UberEats, the debit must first be paid before you can place a new order. So, you are effectively feeding the Uber driver/ his family or friends or supporting the UberEats driver’s side hustle. I have complained to UberEats and they have asked for proof. How do I prove that an order NEVER arrived?
