When my lease was over in 2008 at 39 Parkdale, Morningside, Durban:they didn't refund me my deposit. Both the owner and the agency played hiding and seek.

Moira the agent who was facilitating the process at that time told me the owner had financial problems and that was it.

My argument is I didn't pay the deposit to the owner I paid it to the agency,Tyson properties. If they had given it to him that is not my problem they must give me and deal with him.

In 2011 I tried to persuade the matter with Moira again who rudely dismissed the matter.

What makes matters worse is that in South Africa as individuals we don't have authority to blacklist these corporate industries yet they blacklist people unfairly otherwise I would have blacklisted them also.

Whatever their case is I still want my money with interest for all these years they have been hoarding it.

Good Day
Tyson Properties are disappointed to hear that you feel let down with regards to your damages deposit refund. Standard procedure is to collect the deposit on behalf of the landlord and pay it over the Landlord on signature of the lease, as per terms of the lease, therefore, Tyson Properties is not holding any monies. As you vacated the property almost 10 years ago, it is unlikely that this matter can be followed up or traced.
Best regards,

Best regards,
That is just an excuse of not paying my money back. Time is not the issue here, as Tyson is such a big company I'm sure you keep records. Also as I indicated before I tried persuing the matter but was rudely dismissed, which I feel your response is also another form of dismissing the matter. Why then you didn't ask the deposit from the landlord and pay me back if you had handed it over to him.
