Worst ***** department and customer service
I deposited money into my everyday account on the 10th January, and on Saturday 11th while I was still sleeping someone hacked my account using my cellphone number that they swapped probably on the 7th January because that’s when the last email showed on my phone and transferred money into a TymeBank account that ends with 0376. At this point I couldn’t receive calls, SMSs and emails on my own home device. Luckily I had a new tablet that I had transferred all my data into, and I was receiving emails on it and I saw an email on the 12th January from TymeBank notifying me that my phone was delinked as a trusted device from my account and I immediately responded to that email alerting them that I didn’t do that and asked them to take steps to ensure that no transactions should go off. I even asked them to give me information on what was happening with my account and they ignored me till today. Due to work commitments I couldn’t get to one of the stores to check what was happening. Only on the 16th January after I asked my husband to call my phone to see whether it will ring I realised that someone is horrible wrong. He dialled my phone the first time while the speaker was on, it rang on his side but my phone was not ringing. The second dial a male person answered the call, We went to the police to open a case, they gave me an affidavit because they said I didn’t have evidence that a crime was committed. The next day I went to Std bank asking for a statement, they were offline. At Pick ‘n Pay TymrBank kiosk I managed to punch in my logging details and my statement showed that my money was gone, transferred/voucher created to an account ending with 0376. I went back to the police station to open a case of ***** and a police lady told me that they needed a bank statement as proof to see that money was indeed ******, and they didn’t want to understand when I explained that someone locked me out of accounts, and that I couldn’t get a statement from a TymeBank kiosk. I remember receiving an email from TymeBank that they’ll forward my email to their ***** department but that department hasn’t contacted me not even once since this case was reported. I did notify them that I managed to go to my network service provider to do a sim swap to get my number back and I also sent messages from their app to report the issue with the app, but no communication from their side. It’s like nobody cares to help me out. At this point I just need my money back because they failed me as a client.
