Tymebank worst service ever for bereavement
The worst bank ever. I deposited my savings into my late mums account in May and June 2024. Now bear in mind I have been doing this since I opened this account for my mum. I called and sent documents as requested when she passed in Jan 2022 but the account was still left opened and I continued using it as normal. Then in middle of June 2024 the account was put on hold. The banking details needed to be verified once again. I sent through all the documents requested and never heard a word. After numerous phone calls and being transferred from one department and from one person to the next I simply gave up and stopped calling. It was costing me R70 at a time every time I called. I've had to explain the the issue over and over and still no end in sight. I have not received a statement for all those months and no correspondence or phone call although I've informed the persons I've communicated with that I can be contacted before 9am in the mornings and after 8.30pm in the evenings. The funds I transferred from my Capitec account are still stuck in my late mums TymeBank account and it was meant to be used to do up my parents graves and a small prayer. On the 02 Feb 2025 a statement was sent to my late mums email, the last statement sent was on the 3 July 2024. Tyme customer service is *******. No one wants to understand your predicament, no one cares and they certainly don't give a hoot about your circumstances and how what they do affects your living situation. Its so easy to open an online account but the moment there is a problem no one knows how to handle the situation. All I want is to be able to access these funds is that too much work. I had no problem doing the same with Capitec Bank, maybe because I didn't have to call amd be put on hold forever redial and start all over again. I spoke to someone face to face, and this makes all the difference. Pls can you sort this issue out and so that I can move forward. Also take note I am not prepared to run around getting documents certified again.
The only two documents missing is letter of authority from master's court, that nominates you as the beneficiary and late estate account.

Yes not a letter of authority...as I mentioned the value of the property is above R250 000...I will have to sell everything I own just to get the R4225. Thank you Tymebank, your inefficiency, irresponsibility and most importantly uncaring attitude has now put me in a far worse situation that I was in. That hard earned money that I unknowingly deposited into my deceased mums account will go for one hour of the attorneys fees. I hope you are happy.
