Tymebank loans is a trap and a ****
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the way my Tymebank loan account has been handled. The lack of communication between the debt collectors and Tymebank has been unacceptable, and the level of incompetence displayed throughout this process has left me with no confidence that anyone actually knows what is happening with my account. In 2024 Tymebank stopped debiting my account for the loan repayments and I tried to make contact with them as I had no access to the banking app and battled until now due to never collecting my tymebank bank card. October 2025 I was contact by 4 different Debtors concerning my tymebank loan account which was frustrating and confusing at the time.
Despite repeated attempts to obtain clear and accurate information, I am still unable to get a straightforward explanation regarding my loan account. I need to know the actual outstanding balance, the amount that has been paid into the loan account, and a full reconciliation of all transactions. It should not be this difficult for a customer to receive basic information regarding their own account.
I contacted CSS Solutions telephonically and was subsequently referred to Rebinc (collectionqueries). Following the telephonic discussion, I emailed Rebinc (collectionqueries) requesting that they contact their client, TymeBank, to verify and confirm the correct outstanding amount. According to Rebinc's records, the account was handed over to them in October 2025 when the balance exceeded R7,000. However, there appears to be a discrepancy regarding the current amount owing, and neither party has been able to provide a clear explanation or accurate figures. As at that time I was contact by Rebrookslu who advised it is just over R5000 and other debtor companies. My account was then debited without my authorisation November 2024 (twice and I asked my bank to reverse one payment) by an unknown debtor at the time before I made arrangements with Rebrookslu who only debited December 2025. I further contacted Rebinc (collectionqueries) for assistance on setting up a debit order as I was unable to get ahold of Rebrookslu.
The ongoing back-and-forth between the debt collectors and the bank, with no one taking responsibility or providing proper updates, is completely unfair to the customer. I should not have to chase multiple parties for information that should be readily available and accurate. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and failure to provide transparent account information have caused unnecessary stress and frustration.
I expect an urgent response detailing the exact amount owed, the total amount received into the loan account, and a complete breakdown of how the current balance has been calculated. Customers deserve transparency, professionalism, and competent service, none of which have been demonstrated in this matter.

As I had not received any feedback, I contacted my debt counsellor directly(Reaston). I was informed that my matter was only escalated on 8 June 2026 and that they are currently awaiting feedback from TymeBank. I was further advised that they will only be able to provide me with an update by 25 June 2026 at the latest.
- Immediate clarification regarding the alleged outstanding balance of over R2,000.
- Written confirmation of my current account status with TymeBank.
- An explanation for the discrepancy between the information provided by Reaston and my TymeBank statement.
- A clear timeline for resolution of this matter.
