Tymebank incompitancy and unclear policies
I usually pay my sons transport from my account it had been a long while since I'd paid my sons transport from my husband's account however this time I made transport payment from his tymebank account a Normal transfer of R2500 on the 12 October 2024 at 14:03 the beneficiary is labeled transport on my bank so I make the transfer to transport labeled on his account too. Immidiately after making the payment I send proof of payment as usual except this time my driver gets back to say that fnb is not his bank account he uses nedbank and capitec so I realize the transport in my husband's account is the old transport however I no longer have any contact details for them. So since I had made this normal transfer on Surterday after 2 according to tymebank it would reflect on the recieptience acc late on Monday or Tuesday so we still had time for reversal so I immidiately ask my husband to call customer service and request a reversal, The lady helping him adviced that she would log a ticket for the back office that deals with that matter and stated that because it's weekend it would be done on Monday and we would need to have a R170 upfront service fee on the account. On Monday morning the 14th of October at 09:08am the service fee was deducted I was happy about that because it showed we still in time to make the reversal as the money would not have reflected in the recieptience bank account yet according to tymebank time-line and therefore with that understood that it would take some days to get back into our bank account. It is now the 31st October 2024 and the money has not yet been returned nor had been any communication from tymebank. R2500 is a lot of money to loose at least for us. My husband called last week and there was no clear answer we were left confused. We need to issue looked into as we need our money back.
