Tymebank *****
I swear I was literally the poster child when TymeBank came out, I encouraged everyone and their mother to open up an account! Because everyone needs to save a rand or 2 here and there. I was convinced they could do no wrong even when the complaints on social media started coming through. My money was still safe right? It hadn't happened to me, yet..
On the 2nd of December at 19:00 a transaction went off on my account at BP bluff without my approval or knowledge, while my bank card and I were at home. We rushed down to BP bluff and explained to them that my card was at home with me so how did that transaction happen? They advised that there was no supervisor available and we'd have to come back the following day. So the next morning 3/12 we were back and had a look at the cctv footage as well as the transaction s around 7pm and there was no amount for the amount that went off on my card. The supervisor was really helpful, she suggested that we contact tymebank as she's had a few complaints about people's money been taken out their accounts.
I tried making contact with TymeBank for a few days, I used the whatsapped line, I emailed, I called and after explaining what happened the agent rudely just said goodbye and cut the call. So I started spamming their Facebook page and finally got some assistance!
On the 7/12 They had a rude lady without any patience contact me and tell me they'll be launching a ***** investigation on my behalf and the get back to me about whether or not they would reimburse me.
They sent an sms on the 12/12 asking for evidence again after I had already provided it, as I'm gathering all my screenshots, they send another sms basically saying that the investigation is over and I won't be reimbursed.... Because they have no physical branches, who do you even fight with??
Being someone that suffers really badly with Anxiety, it's been taxing on my mental trying to fight to get my money back , The phone calls, emails, messages and then almost been ****med AGAIN by a **** tymebank consultant.. Ive been physically sick for the past couple days
I feel so vulnerable, like I have no privacy because someone had access to something so personal! It may not be hundreds of thousands, but it's money I worked so hard for. As a small business owner, this is the most discouraging thing to go through, especially this close to Christmas I'm just defeated at this point..
I know the bank charges and transactional fees are great, and that's what initially attracted me to them as a small business owner, but they're not worth losing your hard earned money..
