TymeBank Credit Card is just RCS in disguise

Back in the beginning of the year TymeBank advertised their new credit card facilities and I app**** for the heck of it to see what kind of credit they would be willing to give me.

I didn't really need it but I thought it would be good to have another card in case my primary bank was offline and before I knew it I was approved and delivery of the card arranged. The whole deal was done before tea time.

Fast forward 8 months. I found out the hard way the interest rate is extremely high and that many stores don't accept this RCS card (Clicks & Dischem to name a few) so I ended up not using the card at all out of fear of embarrassment at the till. The card was paid in full so I decided to cancel it in August 2022 in order to avoid paying the monthly fee for nothing. The contract says you can cancel at ANY TIME.

First of all, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of the credit card department via phone. Secondly, my emails got ignored initially until I got a response on 2nd September 2022 that my account has been sent for closure.

As of today, 10 November 2022, the account is till active and I'm still being charged monthly card fees, which I refuse to pay because of their department's incompetence. I emailed them again yesterday and so far no response.
