Tyme Bank is a big Tyme **** bank

ID Number: ********** 188081 Linked cellphone Number: ********** 219 ********** 5 March 2019 MR PATRICE MOTSEPE I wish to bring this to your urgent attention: My letter to Hello Peter states the following: Tyme Bank , where do I begin? On the 28th of February 2019 I decided to open a virtual bank account with Tyme Bank. I have always been someone that is attracted to anything online and virtual as well as the benefit to the globe by means of being a paperless company. Anything that saves billions of trees every year can’t be that bad? Or can they? Since the 28th of February I haven’t had a good experience with ANY SINGLE Pick n Pay individual or Tyme Bank consultant. I have been **** to over and over from smaller things like Zuma owns the bank which was obviously from a less informed individual, to bigger issues like, No sir, we don’t have the software to change your profile number therefore if you change your number for whatever reason, you can forget about accessing your cash because for every transaction you need a one time pin which of course goes to your phone. So should you loose, change or get your phone ******, you should just wait patiently until Tyme Bank gets the correct software to update your new details. If you were excited like myself to get your limits increased from the very small amount of R2000 to R10000 per day, you should not set yourself up for disappointment. It is NOT possible to update your limits. You can cry to any consultant that doesn’t hang up on you. No one has the ability or the knowledge to change your limits in any way. What can you do? You may wait till they “upgrade”. In the meantime, you can divide your salary or whatever monies you have going into your account, into groups of R2000 and then budget accordingly. In other words, if you need to pay your rent of R6000, go daily to a pick n pay cashier and hope that you get one that knows that there is a Bank within their store and pray harder that they know how to access it on their system, then make a withdrawal for R2000, go home, put it under your mattress and repeat 3 times till you have enough to pay your rent. That is, if your landlord hasn’t kicked you out yet for late payments. Don’t even think of swiping for a quick cuppachino on the way to “ the bank” as you will be declined and left embarrassed when you are already having a sip of your latte grande that you haven’t yet paid for and won’t be able to if your options are anything Tyme Bank related. If you are thinking, well you can always EFT right? Sorry, wrong. If you haven’t changed your number since sign up then you are on a good path for this transaction as you need a one time pin. If you paid the school fees this morning with your R2000 that you withdrew at the cashier, then sorry, no, you won’t be able to EFT anyone anything till tomorrow. Lets just hope you don’t need cash tomorrow because it’s pretty much one or the other. I like to call it my “Tyme Bank Allowance” . The problem here is I am a man in my 30’s who has successfully managed my finances for over a decade and I didn’t sign up for pocket money. I signed up to join a Bank. I signed up because the real Owner of the bank is a respectable, intelligent businessman whom I admire. I’m not saying that this Bank is a bad idea and should be closed immediately . I think it’s a great idea and people that maybe where not able to have bank accounts before for whatever reason it may be, they can now, at their local Pick n Pay. I am stating that the people that were put in positions by Mr Patrice Motsepe with the responsibility of making this dream a reality , were a bunch of overpaid clowns. Harsh statement perhaps? What’s harsh is having to call in sick at work because you don’t have cash to put petrol in your car to get to work. What’s hash is having no food to eat because a uneducated under qualified individual froze MY ACCOUNT!!! Every Pick n Pay consultant I have dealt with, have been open to getting educated about this Bank within their store. Some of them were not so sure on whether the educator should be the client (me) on the other side of the till giving them Step by Step instructions on how to make a withdrawal and where to access it on their till points. Only twice was I told by a very pleasant and confident cashier that there is no bank linked to Pick n Pay and that I am in fact lying that I did a withdrawal at the very same Pick n Pay two days prior. This cashier was so confident about what she was telling me, I started doubting myself for a split second, thinking, “was it this PNP?” This actually ****ed me off quite substantially, firstly because Pick n Pay staff aren’t technically to blame about their lack of information. Where are the managers, thetraining teams, the Marketing teams? Are they just thinking that this Bank won’t be successful so why waste valuable time and money on training the staff? Or are they perhaps lazy? Or is it because they don’t want to get involved with a bank that with holds your money for absolutely no reason? It’s a tricky one!?!? With hold money? Yes, that is correct. Once your salary has been deposited they allow you to make one or two withdrawals of R2000 and then BAM! They block your profile and you no longer exist to Tyme Bank. Your account number disappears and with that so does your money. Till now, I have spoken to 7 call centre staff. Each one has a unique explanation for my issue. They also very openly point finger at one Individual named Caroline who I am assuming must be head of ***** which is what gave her the knowledge, the training and the authority to block my account. I hear later on that she is also a call centre staff member with no additional merits, badges or knowledge regarding why an account should be frozen . I have tried to make contact with her again since our last conversation however I have been most unlucky as it appears she is “in a meeting” whenever I do call. An outright lie of course. It wouldn’t be so annoying if they could at least come up with a better reason for her not being able to take my phone calls but the blatant “she is in a meeting” just works on my last nerve. It’s like they are just to Lazy to come up with a better lie than that. If they can lie so easily to their clients about one thing which is not in any way small as they are withholding my funds or in laments terms, they are *****ing my money from me and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it because they are the BIG BANK(bullies) and I am just a lowly client(school nerd) with a few thousands monthly for them to gain interest from, so not of that much value to them. Enough said. Hopefully, you can assist me in getting my account unblocked by the morning then hopefully my boss will forgive me for joining a team of Tyme Wasters. Please advise.
