Seriously... Take. Your. Money. ELSEWHERE!!
I seriously need an explanation from Tyme Bank as to what happened with regards to my Discovery Medical Aid debit orders.
I received an SMS from Tyme Bank in January and February stating that the debit orders had gone off.
From the Discovery portal and medical claims in January Discovery was also under the impression that they had been paid.
This week my medical aid got withdrawn and I've been fighting with Discovery stating that I received confirmation SMS messages from Tyme Bank. After looking at the bank statements, it would seem that a serious problem occurred. The debit order was returned due to insufficient funds, thereafter, my account was credited with the amount of the debit order and the debit then successfully deducted from my account.
Due to me receiving a confirmation from Tyme Bank, I never bothered to move money over from my Capitec bank account to cover my medical.
I will not merely accept an apology. They are apparently a bank. A stuff up on their systems like this is not acceptable on any level and demands explanation and investigation.
I sent a mail last week Thursday asking for an explanation and resolveIe from Tyme Bank by close of business last Thursday. This is now a week later. I have heard nothing.
Thanks to Tyme Bank, I've had to pay medical bills out of my pocket as myself and my son had not been covered for a time.
It would seem that they truly do have an apt name: If you're considering Tyme Bank, Take Your Money Elsewhere!
