R170 Fee to Recover R100 Is Unreasonable
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I accidentally sent R100 via PayShap to my brother's old number, which was linked to a TymeBank account he no longer uses. When I contacted support to request a reversal, I was told that the recovery process would cost me R170.
I find it unreasonable that I am expected to pay R170 to try and recover a transaction of only R100. The fee is significantly higher than the amount that was sent, which makes little sense from a customer perspective.
While I understand that there may be administrative processes involved, customers should be treated fairly and provided with solutions that are proportional to the value of the transaction. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the level of customer service and support provided.
I hope the bank reviews this policy and considers a more customer-friendly approach in situations like these.
