Poor service delivery all round
TymeBank put a debit hold on my account which I realised on the 15th March 2024. I called in on the 15th March 2024 and spoke to Rethabile from the ***** department. She advised me to do an affidavit and email it to; ******** and use my I.D as the subject line and call after doing so. This was after I transferred money from MY ABSA account to MY TymeBank account.
On the 16th March 2024 I emailed and called as per previous instructions and spoke to Salome. As she was checking to see if the email was received the line cut and didn't call back.
I called again, on the 16th March 2024 and spoke to Lauren. She confirmed that the email has been received and the matter will be resolved in 5 working days.
I called again on the 22nd March after not receiving any feedback and spoke to Khulani. He said the investigation is on going and should receive an update by Thursday, 28th March 2024, latest.
Today, the 28th March 2024, I called AGAIN, spoke to 2 different consultants with no concrete answer other than that they're waiting for feedback.
1. You don't receive any communication from this bank unless you call them. 2. If the line cuts while you you're speaking to them, they don't bother calling back. 3. One would expect an exceptional call centre since it's a branch-less bank but that's not the case at all. 4. The waiting time for your call to be answered is ridiculous.
I need to pay school fees next week and this is the nonsense I'm dealing with. I thought I'd use TymeBank as a savings account for important matters but I greatly regret it now.
Use this bank at your own risk and if you do, don't use it for anything important.
It has been 2 weeks now and I'm still waiting for my account to be rectified and have the hold removed.
