Poor security TymeBank

TymeBank security procedures on Internet banking are very poor.

When you want to change your log on pin in the App you are required to do an online selfie - this is excellent because it confirms your identity.

When you want to change your password on Internet banking there is no requirement to positively identify yourself. This is a loophole which has been exploited recently by Sim swap *****sters.

I have pointed this out to TymeBank ***** department but they have failed to respond.

Hi Bernard, please note that you will need an OTP when logging in using internet banking that is only sent to the cell phone number that is linked to the account. The TymeBank Team

Yes that's true but as we all know the *****sters often do sim swaps to gain access to your cell number. Once you control the cell number you can change the password and raid the bank account, just like they did to me on 2nd April when they stole R17000.
