Non-functioning complaints department

I have been banking with Tyme Bank for several years, and although there has been some quirks I was fairly satisfied.

The wool was removed from my eyes when I needed to make a payment to SARS in October of last year. In short, it simply could not be done as I was advised by the call centre staff. SARS is preloaded as a beneficiary with banks, as they do not have a normal account number, for understandable reasons, into which you can transfer funds. In order to settle SARS, I had to transfer funds to a different bank!

It is clear from posts on mybroadband in the past that one could do this through the website portal - but to my surprise this was just quietly discontinued!

I reached out to the complaints department on the 31st of October 2025 and followed up on the 1st of December 2025, but simply never received any response whatsoever!

A terrible "quirk", which is far more of an inconvenience is the inability to download proof of payments. One has to send a notification by email to receive a proof of payment. Often time, one has to request this several times before receiving it. No other bank has such an absurd system! Please get your app to a functional state where one can perform the basic banking practices which all other providers offer.

This is beyond infuriating! They have made no attempt to understand the nature of my complaint and offer a supposed solution, which I indicated in my initial complaint I was aware of.

I will be responding and most likely escalating this poor service to the Ombudsman.
