No Longer Eligible For Monthly SASSA Grant Advance
As a SASSA beneficiary and Pensioner I was able to benefit from the mid month advance offering. This has been ongoing for a while now. Suddenly this ceased this month and upon enquiring with Tyme Bank I was informed that I no longer am eligible. Reason....due to my age category as I recently celebrated a birthday.

18 Feb 2026, 21:01As was expected I did receive a response (both written and verbal) to my enquiry. Although not entirely satisfied the cut off age to benefit selectively from the SASSA mid month grant relief is actually at age 65.Although I made a suggestion to dispense with the age limit restriction but doubt it will be taken seriously.
