NEVER BANK WITH TYMEBANK
If I could give this company a better rating it would be minus 5! On Saturday I tried making a purchase of R650, however, my card declined with reason 'authorization failed'. I contacted Tymebank and the lady told me my funds will be reversed within 24 hours as it was just an authorization. Sunday came, no funds are reflecting. I called again and I was advised to wait until 3pm, I checked at 3pm and nothing. I called Tymebank again and Happy told me they had issues with the payments at that time so he escalated and sent me some dispute ID to track. Monday went by no update from Tymebank was received neither was my authorization released. I called Tuesday morning and spoke to someone who assured me end of business, end of business came and nothing. I called Tymebank again and spoke to Jade who really seemed like he was going to fix my issue. He assured me that he would call me between 3pm-4pm, instead when I called him twice he was busy. Now I am on the phone again trying to get a supervisor or manager to speak to me but they're in a meeting. Money can go a long way and unfortunately at this point in time, I can't wait and wait and wait for Tymebank to release my funds to me. This is not a refund, it's an authorization in the middle of a pandemic! I needed money to purchase a tyre on Saturday and I needed money to purchase food for my family to eat! Tyme bank is not digitally smart, and are not bothered with the customer needs. The pass 5 days have been extremely stressful. I will not advise anyone to bank with them in fact after all the complaints on social media and on here, I'm not sure why I'm asking with them. Had this been any of the major banks I'd have had my money released back to me by Monday for the latest. This is truly a disgusting level of customer care that Tymebank is displaying towards us.
