Moretyme Account

I contacted Customer Services to request a settlement amount for my MoreTyme purchases, as I would like to pay off the balance in advance. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide me with a settlement figure.

Instead, I was informed that I simply need to wait for the scheduled debit orders to be processed, which occur at varying times over the next three months. As a consumer, I believe I should have the option to settle my account early if I choose to do so.

It is concerning that no settlement amount or alternative payment details could be provided, effectively preventing me from paying off my balance ahead of schedule. Being told to “just wait” for the debit orders is both inconvenient and frustrating.

In terms of the National Credit Act, I am entitled to both receive a settlement amount on request and settle my account early. Refusing to provide this information or facilitate early payment appears to be non-compliant with the Act

Hi Adri,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand how important it is to have flexibility when it comes to managing and settling your balance.

Kindly note that MoreTyme payments are currently structured to be processed over three scheduled instalments across three months. At this time, there isn’t an option available to settle the full outstanding balance in advance.

We do appreciate your feedback regarding this, and it has been shared with the relevant team as we continue to enhance our products and improve customer experience.
