DO NOT TAKE A PERSONAL LOAN WITH TYME BANK

Honestly, TymeBank has been a nightmare. I made an upfront payment and asked them to reduce my loan balance while keeping my instalment the same. Sent the request on 12 Feb — NOTHING was done.

Debit order goes off, still unchanged. Tried calling on 27 & 28 Feb… you hold for 30 minutes just to get cut off. Finally got through to Bongani on the 28th who promised to call me back on 2 March. Never happened. Ref: PI‑***.

Called again on 4 March, spoke to Matshidiso who couldn’t help, couldn’t escalate, and insisted I wait for Bongani (who was “on another call”). After pushing, she suddenly tells me there’s a 5‑day turnaround time. Why wasn’t I told this upfront?

The 5 days passed, emailed ***… still nothing.

Honestly the WORST service from a bank. Zero urgency, zero accountability. If you value your time and sanity, stay far away from TymeBank.
