Absolutely appalling service from GoTyme Bank, my money has been held since BC!

I am beyond frustrated with GoTyme Bank and the complete lack of urgency, ownership and basic customer care I have experienced trying to get my own money back. This relates to a security deposit from a car rental in AUGUST yup AUGUST. We are now in September, and I am STILL having to chase, call and email a bank to get money returned to me that should never have become this much of an issue in the first place. The experience has been one long exercise in frustration: calls, emails, chasing for updates and receiving lacklustre assistance with no real sense of urgency or ownership. Every interaction leaves me feeling like I am inconveniencing the bank by asking for access to my own money.

And then it gets even better.

Because apparently GoTyme's systems decided to process the refund incorrectly and refund the full amount, the bank's solution was to freeze my account?!

So let me understand this correctly, your systems make an error, and I am the one who gets punished for it?

I can't access my account properly, can't access my money, and now I'm expected to sit around for yet MORE working days while this gets sorted out.

And apparently I must just be patient because, as we all know, in Cyril's economy we all have extremely deep pockets and can comfortably wait indefinitely for banks to return our money...

This isn't about asking for a favour. It is my money! It has already been tied up since August, and instead of taking ownership and resolving the matter urgently, GoTyme has created yet another delay and expects me to simply accept it.

Where is the customer care? Where is the escalation? Where is the urgency when a customer's money is being withheld?

I am beyond frustrated!!!!

At this point, once or rather eventually when I receive my money back, I will be closing this damn account!

GoTyme has completely lost my confidence and, more importantly, my trust. A bank should make you feel that your money is safe and that someone will take responsibility when something goes wrong.

This experience has done the exact opposite.

I don't need another apology or generic "we understand how you feel" response. I need my money returned, my account access restored and this matter resolved rather URGENTLY!
