Premium Changes With no communication

I was so shocked when i saw the debit from my bank account the amount of R 640 in December and no one called me about the changes on the premiums, i was paying around R 240 TO R 300, Then i called them and they told me the reason for the premium change is the people on the cover, then i asked why i was not told in the begining and also why i was not informed about the changes so that i can decide weather i continue or not, the advisor did not answer, asked her to send me the old agreement and the new one so that i can take this matter foward she said she will send it, or another option is to cancel if i cant afford the policy.
