Turn 'n Tender Waterfall

Finally after months of Lock Down my husband and I got out first date out and decided to go to Turn 'n Tender in Waterfall as its normally such a treat. This was an absolute disaster and we were really disappointed in the entire experience. Our food was delivered and my husbands order was wrong, I sat with my steak in front of me for almost 5 minutes while they fixed his steak. When his food finally arrived, the meat was raw and had to be sent back. They had also made some form of a coleslaw that was so full of juice it ran all over the plate into other food which tasted awful. My husbands food arrived back eventually and by that stage I had seem that my meat was raw as well. I had to send my meat back for cooking as it looked like it had been tossed on the grill for 1 minute a side. The chefs then loudly started asking who it was that was sending food and the waitresses pointed directly to us. Finally my food arrived back (with new coleslaw). The food tasted terrible, no flavour...an overall 1 out of 10 meal. I ended up eating 3 bites of my steak (which was mostly fat) and gave up. The manager did come and apologize and asked said he would give us dessert to make up for the bad service. He brought us a bowl of ice-cream each (yes...no choice). I didnt eat it, I was so disappointed top notch restaurant had given such poor service. I explained this to the manager, who then in turn, went to talk to the owner about this. The owner did not even bother to apologise regarding the incredibly disappointing and shoddy experience we had. With that being said, we paid R500 for absolutely nothing. What a waste of a date out, money and experience.
