Could have been our last Christmas eve

The worst Christmas eve experience ever at Turn n Tender umhlanga. Took my girlfriend for a Christmas eve lunch and almost ended in a horrible way. We took a risk during covid to support the food and beverage industry only to have the worst possible experience.

We ordered a starter. The waiter that seated us and served us was super awesome but then came our main meal. We just started our meal and my girlfriend found a huge thorn in her rice which she could have swallowed it and only God knows what would have happened.

We called the waiter and told him what happened and showed him the thorn. Who then flagged his manager and we explained what had happened.

The manager kept insisting that it was from the spinach and not the rice like it would have made a difference if she had swallowed it.

It was found in her rice.

He still made us pay for our meal saying that its covid ect and did nothing for us to compensate us for our horrible experience.

We paid for the starters we eat and the bar one milkshakes that we only drank half the milkshake and still tipped the waiter as we left as he had given us good service.

For a meal we waited to eat and enjoy on Christmas eve that could have caused extreme or fatal body harm and still make us pay for our meal.
