Shocked job #8633
I was put through to Tudortech through the Dyson South Africa home page. I wanted support/trouble shooting advice for my DC35 vacuum cleaner. I never consented to have it repaired however I got home from work on the 9th of August and my mother in law informed me that the vacuum cleaner had been taken away for repairs. I immediately contacted Tudortech and was informed by Razia that there had been a mistake in collection, I got an apology and was told there would be no charge, that I would receive a quote and if I decided not to go ahead the vacuum would be returned. I received a quote on the 16th of August and asked no work be done and my vacuum to be returned. On the 25th of August still no sign of my vacuum, I emailed Razia and was I responded to on the 28th of August saying the machine would be delivered on the 29th. I waited all day on the 29th but no vacuum cleaner. I was told that the driver didn't have my phone number and security wouldn't let him through. (This is not why security wouldn't let him through, he did not give my address). I provided my phone number and the following day the 30th of August the driver phoned me (his airtime ran out so I phoned back) He had again been refused access because he didn't have my address. I gave him my address and he dropped off the vacuum. I inspected it and it was missing the clip that holds the spinning brushbar. The driver had left I ran after him and when I informed he said he was aware and was going to collect it off the technician and return to drop it off. (I have no idea why if he was aware he didn't tell me when he returned it that he would be coming back). He did not however return. Today is the 1st of September and despite emailing Razia twice I am no closer to getting my missing part back. In brief: - my vacuum cleaner was removed from my home without my consent - it was returned to me in a different condition to how it was taken - twice I waited at home all day for a delivery that never arrived I am 9 months pregnant and am due on Monday. I am beyond angry. This is a very expensive vacuum and I have absolutely no faith that it has been handled appropriately or carefully due to the incompetence I have been dealing with. The only issue with the vacuum was a simple charger issue. I had planned on borrowing my friends charger as I didn't want the expense or hassle at this particular time. I contacted Dyson to support to check whether the machine was still under warrantee and see if they could offer any support. Now I have an unusable vacuum.
