BAD SERVICE IN ACCOMMODATION FOR FIRST YEAR STUDENTS

<p>I have a younger sister who app**** for year 2017 studies. She was accepted and registered on the day she was instructed to do so. on the application she indicated that she need financial assistance and accommodation. She then went to enqire about Accommodation having proof of registration on her hand. she was then told that she is on a waiting list. My younger sister is a first year student from Limpopo, she need accommodation as a serios matter since she is a foreign in Gauteng Province and with no parents that are working she she is struggling to survive at the moment. since she registered early January 2017 till today she has no accommodation at TUT and started classes immidiately after registration. How is the management handling such issues to student that are coming from far and saffering in this way? she is going to be on a waiting list until when? she even heard rumers that if she dont know anyone working at TUT she must just forget about accommodation.</p> <p> </p> <p>Hurrayyyyy she got financial assistant on time. But what about accommodation she had app**** for same time with these other things she needed?</p> <p> </p> <p>I am a former TUT student and I straggled the same way. I was almost a victim of being kidnapped just because of risking to sleep anywhere I was promised it is a safe place. Some of my friends became a victims of **** and other scary things.</p> <p> </p> <p>TUT Management please assist our first year sisters and brothers before worse things happens to them. They know nothing about Gauteng. </p>
