Worst Service At Truworths Sandton City

Truworths pride themselves in good customer service but today i experienced the worst service ever.

I tried exchanging an item i received as a gift with a receipt and the gentle man who was meant to assist me me was simply not interested.

I was at the store at 12h30 at Truworths Sandton City on the 08.05.2024 and with only two tellers working.

Once it was my turn to get assisted the guy told me i could not get assisted in exchanging an item because the item was bought with an account. Even after i told him it was a gift. He told me the account holder needs to sign for it and i need the card used for the purchase in my possession.

Or the owner of the card has to write a letter to give me permission to exchange what i was bought... How does that make sense?

How does any of that make sense?
