Why Truworths increased my limit.

I have an account with Truworths,my limit has always been R6000 ,I have been always paying my account on time but lately they've been phoning me telling that my instalment was short with R300.00,I asked them why must I pay R1250.00 because my limit is R6000.00 ?the lady that I spoke to said that my limit is now R11800.00 I asked her how she said Truworths was running a festive special that's why they have allowed me to exceed my limit ,I asked her how can they do that without my consent she said why not because Truworths is running a business,I cried because there was a reason for me to set my limit to R6000.00 and what I annoys me most is that Truworths has been phoning me I don't know how many times asking to increase my limit and I'v been telling them one and the same thing that I cannot be able to afford more limit but now they have decided to rob me and there is no explanation of why at least they didn't tell me about their \special"I always return my staff when its Exceeding my limit"

Hello thobekam17,

Thank you affording us the opportunity to respond to your concerns.

We acknowledge your frustration regarding the conduct of our consultant during the call mentioned in your post and can assure you that the matter has been brought to the attention of the relevant management team.

From time to time customers request to make a purchase over-and-above their credit facility available at the time. Truworths will authorize the sale provided that the account meets the qualifying criteria. This is printed on the point-of-sale docket and accepted by the customer when he/she signs the docket authorizing the purchase.

We verify that these dockets were presented and signed by you when you made the purchases which reflect on your October, November and December 2015 statements respectively.

Following our telephonic conversation we trust that we have adequately responded to your query, however should you have any further inquiries, please contact us on *** or via email on ***.

Kind regards,

Lynn
