Vouchers not given on opening of a new account
I am extremely disappointed at the service level at Truworths. I really like their clothes but am considering closing my account after just opening my account recently. Whilst I was browsing at one of their stores, Truworths employees asked if I wanted to open an account and that I would get R750 in vouchers. I sms my ID and name to the sms provided by the store and was told that if I bring in my ID that may account would be opened. When I went to the store with my ID, my account was activated. I was told that my card would arrive by post and that I can buy clothes with my ID which I did. My card arrived this week and surprise surprise no vouchers included. I called the call centre and apparently there are 2 numbers and only if you sms the 1 number do you get the vouchers. Apparently the number that the store gives you does not give you vouchers but if you sms the number that is provided on the tv advert, then you get the vouchers. This is false advertising since the employees themselves say that you will get R750 in vouchers when opening an account and do not mention that only the once sms number (the one provided on the tv) gives you vouchers.<br> I am utterly disgusted.
We have investigated your concerns and established that there had indeed been an in store offer available at the time of your application.
We can confirm that vouchers to the value of R750.00 had been allocated to your account and are currently all still valid.
As we were unsuccessful in our attempts to call you in this regard, we have sent you an email and provided the voucher numbers, values and expiry dates of your available vouchers. We are currently awaiting your response in this regard.
We wish to apologise for any confusion or misunderstanding that may have occurred during your communication with our store and wish to assure you that this matter witll be brought to the attention of the relevant Store Manager.
We however trust that we have been able to satisfactorily resolve this matter for you.
Yours sincerely,
Lynn
