Utterly horrific customer service

I had purchased an item online & opted for it to be delivered to the store for me to collect. I received the sms stating that my parcel is ready for collection. Yesterday 03 August 2022 I went to collect my order at East Rand Mall Truworths in Boksburg & the treatment I received was horrific to say the least. They had a problem with their system that no one could explain to me. The gentlemen at the teller told me I should come back the next day because they couldn’t resolve the issue apparently the Online Service offices was closed & no one was answering their phones. Head Office then instructed them not give me the parcel which in a matter of fact was already paid for & according to them was “ready for collection”. I refused this instructions because I was being inconvenienced for Truworths’ incompetence. I stood there for an entire 60min & not once did the Manager or Supervisor come to assist in the matter even though they were in the store & aware of the situation. This is unbelievably disgusting treatment & humiliation. I am extremely disappointed at the behaviour of all parties involved. I’ve been a customer for many years & I pay my account on time, every time. The whole purpose of an online service is for the convenience of the customers. I will definitely not be using this service again and I highly recommend no one uses this service.
