Utterly appalled

Was at the store for over an hour and a half to buy a cellphone, we were almost 4/5 clients which wanted to purchase handsets and only 1 consultant was assisting. It took her approximately 20 minutes with each client, (my first complaint) not utilizing the available staff. Once I got to the counter she wanted a copy of my proof of residence, which I found puzzling, why is that? for crying out loud I have an in store account with the company. I obliged went to my bank to get a bank statement which they billed me for. Upon my return I had to wait a good 30 minutes while she was assisting another client. Once it was my turn again, I gave the proof of res and drivers license, only then did she tell me that I needed my original identity document. I was appalled, for one, since when has a drivers license not been sufficient, I worked for a bank previously and even for FICA purposes it was accepted, it means I did a different RE. the plamphet of the MTN RICA STATES THERE THEY REQUIRE IDENTITY NUMBER not green identity document. I asked her to call the manager, and she came with a face that screamed I ain't got time for you. I bought my siblings phones at Foschini w/out any hassles
