Underhanded ways to generate sales!

I opened a Truworths account to increase my credit score and it was going well for a few months with me getting a few limit increases.

Then last month, I received an sms saying I had another increase and showing me what was available to spend. I spent some of the credit only to find out that my credit score dropped immediately by 19 base points.

I was informed that the increase had only been temporary although there was no notification that this was the case- it was only after phoning head office that it was made clear" that I should have known". It appears that its Truworths policy that they can offer you amounts that take you over your limits and its your choice to spend it or not. So in essence, they are offering you credit to generate sales and then penalising you because you used the offer they made to start with!

Its a great way to make an income but very underhanded as I would not have spent more had they been upfront and honest to start with. I only spent more to pay more to get my credit score up.
