I'm not happy the way my nephew was dealt with at truworths promenade , I asked him to collect a customer request parcel for me which I needed for tonight I gave him my request slip n thats all they need because he is not purchasing anything or crediting nor exchanging basically he's just picking up my parcel ...N signing for it because I know I won't be able to I work late n I do know if I don't collect it within 14 days it will be credited to my account which will basically happen I'm to busy ....my point is my nephew was unsuccessful they didn't give him the parcel because he needed his I.D which I don't know why... which I would love a reason for, it never happened before . When my nephew arrived with his I.D the store was closed n I didn't receive my item ... I feel like my nephew doesnt need to present his I.D because if they need any queries they should have phoned me .. I didn't get my item n would like them to credit it off my account ASAP ....!!!!!
Thank you for your post.
Truworths has various procedures in place for the protection of our customers and ourselves against unauthorized activities. One of these procedures are that when a customer collects an order from one of our stores, proof of identification is required to ensure that we are handing the parcel to the correct customer.
The Supervisor who assisted your nephew asked him if he could confirm your contact number. As this could not be confirmed by him, she asked that he brings his original identity document and your contact telephone number so that she could do the necessary checks.
The Store Manager has said that the precautions taken by the Store Supervisor was by no means taken to cause you or your nephew any upset or frustration. She has however, asked us to convey her apologies for the inconvenience and disappointment caused as a result of this.
We can confirm that subsequent to your post, the item has been credited to your Truworths account.
We hope that we were able to adequately respond to your query and trust that you will be able to perceive and understand our stance in this regard.
Kind regards,
Lynn
