*****ulent Account Opened Without Positive ID & Harassment for Payment

An account was *****ulently opened in my name with Truworths, without my consent and without any form of positive identification being verified. This is a serious failure of internal controls and a clear breach of responsible credit and KYC requirements.

Despite this account being *****ulent, I am now receiving threatening messages demanding payment and warning that my credit record will be negatively affected if I do not settle an account that does not belong to me. This is unacceptable and has caused significant stress and inconvenience.

I have formally completed and submitted Truworths’ dispute and ***** forms, yet I have received no acknowledgement of receipt, no reference number, and no communication confirming that the matter is being investigated. In the meantime, the threats and pressure to pay continue.

I will not accept responsibility for *****ulent debt created due to Truworths’ failure to properly verify identity. I expect:

Immediate written confirmation that the account is under investigation

All collection activity and threats to cease immediately

Assurance that no negative credit listing will be made against my name

Full removal of this *****ulent account once confirmed

If this matter is not urgently resolved, I will have no choice but to escalate it to the credit bureaus, the National Credit Regulator, and the relevant regulatory bodies.

This situation requires immediate attention and accountability.
