TRUWORTHS worst nightmare after receiving new phone as a gift

My sister received a new phone as a gift, TODAY and she does not really like the phone and would like to return it for another one and she was told that is impossible.

It hasnt even passed 24hours, but this consultant had to be RUDE and not helpful. Can somebody attend to this matter ASAP, because what is the point of having a new phone which you do not like?

Thank you for your post.

Cellphone purchases are subject to the terms and conditions of the service provider, in this instance being MTN. Accordingly when the customer signs the CPD (Customer Pickup Document) they confirm that the handset being purchased is fit for purpose and is only returnable if it has a manufacturing fault and this is verified by the MTN Service and Repair Centre.

You were therefore correctly informed that your request for the return/exchange could not be authorized.

We regret that we were unable to reach you on the contact number provided however trust that you will be able to accept our stance in this regard. Should you encounter any problem with the handset within the warranty period, please return it to the store, with all the required accessories and documents for MTN to do a comprehensive assessment.

Please feel free to contact us via email on *** should you have any further enquiries.

Kind regards,

Truworths Online Team
