Truworths still want money after I cleared the acc
I have had a Truworths account for many years. I was unemployed for quite some time over the past 15-18 months, so I struggled to make payments on the account. I obviously got a lot of flak from the company and I've been threatened many a times. I was always told to go and make payments at the store.

I got work recently, and on the 26th of February, I went to the store, and I told them to tell me what my balance is so that I can pay my dues. I was told my balance was R569(I owed about R400 at the time I lost my job). I paid it off, and I was given proof that I owe them R0.00.

Fast forward 08th March, I get a call that there's a balance on my Truworths account. When I told the lady who was talking to me that I do not owe anything, she was very rude and said: \Since you are going to talk like that, we can't continue with this conversation\" then she hung up the phone. My wife went to the store to enquire, and she got proof that I owe R0.00, but I have to pay legal fees.

I was always told to go and make payments at the store, and my understanding was that additional charges are linked to my account. They must deal with their lawyers themselves, I do not have an account with MBDC."
