Thank you for your post.

Cellphone returns are subject to the terms and conditions of the service provider, in this instance being MTN.

In the event that the device has a manufacturing defect and this is identified and communicated within the first 7 days from the date of purchase the complete unit with the box, accessories and packaging can be returned for a possible exchange on the same model or a refund subject to the device being assessed at a MTN Service and Repair Centre. This is indicated on the Customer Pick-up Document (CPD) when the handset is purchased.

Upon liaising with the Store Manager, we were informed that on the day of your return, you were informed that the handset would need to be sent to MTN for further assessment.

We acknowledge that you are not happy with this, however wish to verify that the handset would need to be sent for the mentioned assessment in order for the store to assist with your return.

We kindly request that you return the handset at your earliest convenience with the above mentioned requirements, your proof of purchase and CPD document for the manager to have the handset sent for assessment.

Kind regards,

Truworths Online Team
