Truworths refused to take my shoes after 3 days

Today being the 20th of July 2015, I returned shoes that I had bought on the 17th of July 2015. I only wore the shoes yesterday at church, they hurt so much so that I had to take them off and wear flat shoes as I could no longer walk in them. This influenced my decision to take the shoes back to Truworths as I could no longer wear them, the shoes are in good condition however The store manager Charlotte Kganyago told me I can't return them despite their 30 day return policy. The shoes are in good condition. How am I supposed to keep shoes that I'm never going to wear. I must say the customer relations etiquette shown by Charlotte Kganyago, at Truworths is despicable.
