Truworths refused to accept MY ID.

I had opened an account online, I went to the Sandton branch and I was advised because my ID had coke (cooldrink) stains they won't accept my ID. How ridiculous, the very same ID I've used for travel, etc it was accepted. Just to open an account, my ID number is clear picture Is clear. So I don't understand why it's an issue.
