Truworths Refuse to Return faulty merchandise after 5 days of Purchase

Hi my husband purchased a shoe on the 14/10/2019 and I had taken it back to the store on the 19/10/2019 as the glue is coming out of the shoe at the back. As per Truworths they can not except the return as they feel nothing is wrong with the shoe. Also note this shoe was a display item and probably they just want to get rid of it and therefore refusing to return this. They expect me to keep a fauly item.

I think people should be aware that this store it the worst store to purchase from as they refuse to assist with anything. I have the proof of purchaser and everything.

Surely if as a customer I am not satisfied with a product and want to returen within 7 days of purchase this should be returned as I do not want to be stuck with a faulty product.
