Truworths Phalaborwa Eden Square

I recently had an online application approved and went to a local branch, Phalaborwa Eden Square for activation, where I was told that Truworths' policy is against old fashioned ID books and as a result my ID won't be accepted as she was tearing the plastic part holding it together, making a joke of it.

I was not only upset for queueing for so long but also the unbelievably rude attitudes of your consultant and manager after I had explained to them that I had just used the same ID at ABSA and IEC just recently but they insisted that it's against their policy to accept an old ID and that I should make time to go queue at Home Affairs to get a new one then come back to them when I'm serious.

I learnt that there's a certain period until the application expires, 3 weeks. I mean, I work at a mine, I know I wouldn't be able to take time off just to get a new ID for Truworths?

Please advise if you can activate my account remotely or If I should take my business elsewhere because that was really some BS.
