Truworths Oxford Street (East London)
I visited Truworths Oxford Street (East London) on 17 December 2019 to buy a watch for someone as a gift. The following day I was advised that the watch is not working but the person was out of town (Dec holiday), the person came back yesterday, I looked everywhere for the slip but I couldn't find it. This morning I contacted the branch on ***, I explained my story to the lady that answered the phone and she referred me to Andy who is the Assistant Manager as the Branch Manager is on leave. I told Andy that I used my bank card as proof of purchase and I can bring my bank statement as proof and I also know the date & time of the transaction. I pleaded with them to look up a copy on their system with no luck. Andy advised me that she will contact the Area Manager and come back to me. I just contacted Andy now and she says she asked other Branch Managers and they told her that I won't be assisted without the slip. I've also looked at similar cases on hellopeter where Truworths said if a card was used & the consumer can prove by bringing a bank statement as proof or even providing date of the transaction, the client can be assisted. Kindly assist in contacting Truworths Oxford Street to assist.
