Truworths Online Shopping - Lost Order
Truworths Woodlands Boulevard managed to lose half my online order. I ordered a skirt from Truworths and Hoka Clifton 9's from the Office London Store. Both items were listed as one order. I was notified my order is ready for pick up. I went to pick up the order on the 18th of June. I was only given one of the items in my order - the skirt. I asked the cashier where the rest of my order is as I know sometimes they split the orders but I didn't receive any additional notifications. She said it should still be on the way. Returned to work but phoned Truworths' helpline to ask if they can seen on their system where the other half or my order was. They said both items were delivered (on different dates) to the Woodlands Branch. I returned to the Woodlands store after work. The lady that assisted me told other members that se did in fact just find one parcel under my name in their store room to give to me. Staff searched relentlessly but found no parcel. One staff member mentioned that maybe they handed it to a different customer given that my surname is quite common. They mentioned they would phone me back today but I had to follow up myself - no parcel, so solution. So essentially, I just lost R2100. Not sure if the problem was with this particular store's store room or whether this is because your system does not allow you to check if an order consist of one or two separate parcels. So disappointed and put off by this. Won't be making use of their online shopping again. This is not the first time I had issues with this store. Previously I had to wait almost an hour for staff to find my parcel in their store room at Woodlands. I opted for the Brooklyn branch for one of my other orders which worked better but I am so put off by this that I'll just avoid buying from Truworths brands in future. Suggest Truworths review how they ship and mark orders - perhaps "parcel 1 of 2" would help staff and customers in future. Cameras and a system that shows one item is missing would help. I also suggest improved in-store parcel store rooms and organisation thereof. Learned a very expensive lesson... Word of caution to future Truworths online shoppers - open your entire order in front of management to make sure you have all your items as you will have no proof other than your word that you did not receive all your items!! Or just avoid shopping online at Truworths altogether. They are clearly still fool-proofing their ecommerce.
