Truworths not allocating payments - sending threatening sms's and e-mails

I opened an account with Truworths in December 2019 : *** According to me, this was supposed to be a new account as I was sequestrated in July 2016 and rehabilitated only in August 2019. Apparently my old account with them was just re-opened although I submitted my new ID that stipulates I’m now Potgieter and not Fourie. I also told the people at Truworths, that I’m Potgieter not Fourie – they claim I need to go into a branch to get my surname right as they have to verify I am who I am supposed to be – what education do they have to be able to do that apart from comparing the face in front of them with the photo on the ID? Which can be ********** and how will they be able to tell? I bought some items to the total value of R1 020.00 in December 2019, first instalment payable end of January 2020. I paid my first instalment early February 2020 – R200.00 instead of R135.00- they allocated it to my statement on 13/02/2020 On 02/03/2020 I paid R35.00, 01/04/2020 R135.00,05/05/2020 R135.00, 11/06/2020 R135.00 : all added up to an amount of R440.00 not being allocated to my account. I keep on getting e-mails and sms’s about my account in arrears. Threats my account is handed over for collection. I called several times and told them I’ve paid my account they must do there bank reconciliations. Lockdown was used as an excuse, etc. I mailed a snapshot to Chealisa Gengan as proof of the payments done into the very same account the first payment of R200.00 was done to. She insists to have my bank statements – I refuse. She can go through het bank statements from the date I indicated on the snapshots in order to find my payments. On the 15th I e-mailed the snapshot again. Her response today, 18/06/2020: ‘Dear Valued Customer I trust that this mail finds you well. Email dated 15th June 2020 bears reference. We appreciate your payment made on your account. Kindly be advised we have restricted all contact with you regarding this matter as we have now escalated your query to Truworths to assist with locating your payments. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience caused. Please do not hesitate to contact us in the instance of any concerns or queries. ‘ I just received an sms today, 18/06/2020 at 11h21 ,from Truworths head office : ‘Mrs. Fourie, your account is in arrears and has been handed over.Pay R100.00 now to avoid extra costs.Pay instore, online,or at any ATM or Bank.Simply select Truworths on the beneficiaries list or use bank details : Standard Bank, Acc No *** & use ***.***

I will not pay interest charged or any other extra costs as Truworths are at fault here This account will most definitely be closed and I will never shop at any Truworths ever again – no good word will be heard towards them from me as well.
