Truworths inefficiency and communication

On 25 October 2018 I visited the Earthchild store at Fourways Mall. I saw a pair of childrens boots and opened a "Customer Request - ********** 5". After not having heard a single word about this request, not even an sms of acknowledgement of receipt, I proceeded to call the call centre on 8th November to follow-up.The call centre agent arrogantly remarked that they were not in the wrong as it takes approximately 3 weeks for the order. They then said they would follow up and call me the following day, well no one phoned!! So yesterday 12 November I decided to phone the call centre again as we were entering the 4th week since placing this order. Again the call centre could not give me an update, and I was told nobody had followed up on the request. I was assured that someone would phone me by the end of the day.... Surprise, surprise - once again nobody phoned!!

Why am I actually surprised in the inefficiency and professionalism of Truworths. Ever since Earth child and Naartjie have been bought out by Truworths, these brands are really not what they once were. The call centre staff could do with some training in Customer Service, and basic telephone etiquette. They could learn valuable tips from competitors like Woolworths in dealing with csutomers and orders.

The biggest issues I have here are that not once did I receive any communication regarding the order - ( an acknowledgement, a status update, or just a message to say the item is still being sourced). However when one is a few days late in paying an account balance of R100 one is hounded by the debt collection staff in every possible means of communication except for smoke signals.

Thanks you, I await your response.
