Truworths - *********** and misleading

I was offered an account, and after submitting my details via sms, I received an sms stating the my account was approved, I just had to show my ID document at any branch. On Saturday 12.09.2020 I went to Truworths Somerset West. handed my ID to them and was told, very rudely, that my ID was too old, I need to apply for a new one. SA ID documents have no expiry date. This is the same ID I use to vote, to transact at my bank, etc. I was flabbergasted and mortified because of the rudeness of the personnel.
