Truworths in violation of consumer protection act
On Saturday 04/07/2015 - We went to Truworth to purchase a gym bag. We asked one of the consultants to assist us. He was very friendly showed us the bag which was on the floor for sale & confirmed we would get a voucher with this bag. On the bag there was a tag confirming the promotion. It did not stipulate promotion end date or exactly what were the terms & conditions. When we get to the pay point they advise they will not be giving us our voucher as the promotion was over. At the pay till the ladies were not interested in our complaint & were giving us an option to leave the bag so we get our money back. The manager takes his own time to get to us to assist with the problem. <br> My complaint first of all is we were told about a bag that was in promotion & only to find its no longer on promotion & there was nothing they could do about it. - we were mislead about the promotion by word of month from the consultant & the bag was on the store floor for sale. As per the consumer protection act:\Suppliers are required to specify the duration of any promotions in catalogues or brochures
