Truworths Head of Office MOST USELESS OFFICE EVER
I bought a Sony cellphone at Truworths Midlands Mall at PMB in Dec 2014. I was told that I will hv to pay for both the phone and interest for 6 months. I paid full amount of the installments from Dec 2014 to June 2015. I queried from June why I was paying for June when my last installment was supposed to hav been end of May. I was told by the Head Office that there has been a mistake on my account and that they will rectify it soon. After that there was nothing I heard from them. I then launched a complaint online and I was told because of interest you pay more than 6 months for the phone, yet my installments has always been higher because they included interest for 7 months. I'm very angry and have decided to close my account, because clearly Truworths doesn't need my money anymore! To think that I have been a loyal customer for many years now! I'm very disappointed that this is a thank you I'm getting from them! Today, I was told by someone from Midlands that Head Office said that I must call them when she was trying to help me! I must call the Head Office when they are the ones who are inconveniencing me, really now? From a very angry soon to be ex-customer Miss T.E. Kubheka
Thank you for your post.
We acknowledge your frustration in this regard and therefore, conducted an enquiry into your concerns raised.
We have established that your purchase for the cell phone was indeed made on 07 December 2014. We confirm that an installment was charged for the cellphone purchase, in December however no interest was charged. The first interest amount for this plan was therefore, only due on 03 February 2015 as indicated on your statements.
Further to this, we have established that due to a system error the payments received were not correctly allocated towards your cellphone plan. As such mainly the balance on your twelve month plan was reduced. Therefore, there was still a balance of R 267.20 due in the 7th month as indicated in your post.
Following your telephonic conversation with one of our Call Centre consultants on 04 July, we can confirm that this balance was transferred to your twelve months interest bearing plan, as such the cellphone plan is now settled. This was indicated on the statement issued 10 July 2015.
We wish to convey our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience or frustration caused as a result of this matter.
Yours sincerely
Lynn
