Truworths Eastgate "****" shoes?

I bought a pair of formal shoes from Truworths Eastgate, which cost R1399.99 After wearing the shoes for the first time I noticed that the shoe on my right felt very soft compared to the one on my left. I returned the shoes to the store, hoping I would get a replacement pair, but I was informed that the shoes would be returned to the manufacturer for inspection and that I would be contacted within a week, which would be on 8th September 2022. The manager gave off bad vibes. He was clearly unhappy that the shoes were being returned. I haven't heard anything back from the store until I had to contact them last week on 4th October, and still I did not get an answer on what the outcome was. Instead the lady asked to call me back later that day, only to tell me that the shoes have been sent back to the store, and that I would be contacted once it has arrived. I'm not sure if this was a new pair or the same pair. One week later, and I havent heard anything.

At this point I just want my money back.
