Truworths behaving like amateurs

So it is my daughter's birthday this Friday and Like every parent who would want to do something for their kids, I have a Truworths account that is approved and activated. I wanted to buy a gift card at Truworths in Kempton park (Kempton Square) but I am told It is not allowed to purchase a gift card on the first purchase!!!! I mean why and what do I need the truworths account for if i cant even spoil my loved once with it? This is happening for the second time in the same store, You can imagine the time and transport i had to sacrifice for this. This cant be legal!!! I even called their head office and some consultant also said it is their policy..! I dont think truworths know what a gift is or how it works. Can the TFG teach them please!!!!
