Trust the reviews and STAY AWAY!!!

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Truworths Mall of Africa. I attempted to return a dress I bought on October 27th, 2024, due to a design flaw—the flimsy elastic shoulder straps don’t support the dress's weight. The dress still has price tags intact and has not been worn. When I tried to return it, I was told they could help track the receipt with my card number which I provided. However, after multiple visits, I was told all Truworths store systems are offline country-wide and that they had no way of tracking my receipt and therefore had no idea if they would ever be able to assist me. Despite leaving my contact number, I waited weeks with no resolution and only vague responses such as "The store policy would have favored you better if you had an account with us, we're not obliged to track your receipt but we do so at our own discretion". This lack of customer service and product quality is unacceptable. Truworths does not even deserve one star!
